English Festival in Sek. Men. Teknik Muar.

The English Festival in Sek. Men. Teknik Muar, Johor was organised by the Social Welfare Department of Muar and hosting is PAKK Muar. As usual 8 PAKK centers from all over the district of Johor were invited for this auspicious events. There are story telling from the age 7-9 years old, Eloqution from the age 13-15 years old and a team of 25 students for choral speaking under 12 years old. It is actually fun learning English this way so that students are not bored with just books. Pronunciation and grammar are important in English and so does spelling . Maybe next time they should organised a Spelling Bee ...... competition.
All the PAKKs are there for the competition except for PAKK Pontian. As i am from Muar myself and i studied in Convent Muar since i was at a young age before continuing studying at Convent Segamat, so when i saw the Convent students did their choral speaking, i am not surprised they won the competition.

Anyway, my thanks to all participate in the competition especially to Puan Faziah and her students who are also my PAKK Temenggong members. You all did well in just a few days of practise. To all winners, my hearty congratulations! Here are some footage of the competition in Muar.

"Gotong Royong" with the AJKs and PAKK Kids.

It was a cloudy day for a "gotong royong" planned by the committee members of the PAKK Temenggong recently. Surprisingly kids from different ages came to help us with the clean up.

En. Iskandar was the one who decided that its time to clean up the surroundings before the bushes becomes thick and tangling, which will makes it difficult for us to clean it up later.

After the AJKs meeting yesterday, everybody agreed to help except for a few who could not attend the "gotong royong" project.

So overall the gotong royong project was successfull with the help from little kids of PAKK.

A Surprise "Goodbye Party" for Suhaila !!!

It was Monday evening when i and my AJK friends decided to cook spaggetti Malaysian style with tomato sauce and minced beef for our Facilitator Cik Suhaila who will be leaving us for a better future with the BioTech Team in Bukit Jalil Kuala Lumpur.

We decided to surprise her as the kids in PAKK wanted to have some fun with her by spraying snow cream at her when she arrived at the door with En Shaheed who is a facilatator for bukit siput.

She was so scared that we throw cream pie at her as i already told her earlier that the kids wanted to leave a mark by saying goodbye and they love her for being a sister to them. Then they realised they didn't want to ruin her beautiful baju kurung that i decided to buy a few cans of party spray to make it fun for the kids. Its a nice prank that leave not mark on her clothes except a surprise on her face.....

Unfortunately, our Head of PAKK, en Zahar Kahar arrived a bit late for he has to attend some urgency matters at work. But the party was well attended by the AJKs and students and the Spaggetti was eaten with no left-overs!!!! Thank you to all who attended the surprise party and to En. Shaheed .... thank you for driving cik Suhaila around while we prepared the dishes.

Invitations from PAKK Bukit Siput - Friendly Matches with PAKK Temenggong.

PAKK Bukit Siput invited PAKK Temenggong for a friendly matches of Futsal. There are 3 teams in each PAKK and it was done with good sporting spirit.

The weather was fine and cloudy. Fried Mee hoon and cold drinks were served by PAKK Bukit Siput.

Both of our Facilitators En. Shaheed and Cik Suhaila came to support their teams and cheered them up.

As for me and Pn. Zainab.....we do what normally we had done before.....giving a lot of pep talks....hahaha....
